Comprehensive Monitor Quality Check

Buying a new monitor (or buying used) is an investment. Our Monitor Test tool allows you to inspect the display panel for the most common manufacturing defects without installing any software.

1. Dead Pixels & Stuck Pixels

The most basic check is for pixel health. Cycle through the primary colors (Red, Green, Blue) to ensure every subpixel is firing. A black dot on a white background is a "Dead Pixel", while a colored dot on a black background is a "Stuck Pixel".

2. IPS Glow & Backlight Bleed

For IPS monitors, "Glow" is common, but excessive "Backlight Bleed" is a defect. Test this by using the Black Screen in a completely dark room. Light leaking from the corners indicates bleed, which ruins dark movie scenes.

3. Color Consistency

A good monitor should display the same brightness and color tone from edge to edge. Use the White Screen mode to check for "vignetting" (dark corners) or color shifting (e.g., one side looking more yellow/warm than the other).
